Biotechnology is the use of biological processes (particularly cellular and molecular) to solve problems and/or make useful products. The industry includes firms involved in drug discovery and production, research, and biologically engineered food preparation. Among the most lucrative industry markets are the health care markets, particularly therapeutics and diagnostics.
Apprenticeship programs are being developed for specific occupations in biotechnology at this very moment. As this information becomes available, we will post it here.
